Would it be possible to have a 'select/deselect all' button for the tags. If I have 1000 tags on a large case quite often I have multiple tags on files. Currently if I want to remove all tags except one I get have to click in each box of the tags I want to remove. If we could simple 'select all' then take the tick out of the one we want to keep would save my little fingers from RSI And while I'm discussing untaggin it appears there may be a glitch? As it generally takes 2 or 3 attempts before all the excess tags are removed. I'm not sure if there is an inbuilt limitation on the amount of tags that can be unselected at a given time maybe? To confuse me more sometimes there are clearly more tags on a file but they don't show up in the remove window, see attached pic. Edit: looks like this is a viewer issue. I'm working over viewer and there were some tags done locally on the machine yesterday. So I can't see/alter the tags made outside of viewer *facepalm

Is it possible to add fields to those listed automaticall in the reports? I see I can create custom naming conventions to add tags etc to the file names generated, but ideally I'd like to have the tags listed in the report rather than the name itself (or other fields added to the report as well). Is this currently possible?

This is something that I do as a matter of course for every job I do, mainly to show the clients the total hits (including duplicates) then pare it down to the more relevant data and remove the duplicates. I find this is a great way to show the value to our clients ie instead of reading through 40,000 emails because of this wonderful software we have there are now only 1,000 relevant emails to look at If we were able to export a list which includes these results (total plus hits for individual keywords) that would be fantastic. If the export itself was sent to excel format with the filters enabled for each column we then have a nice neat customizable spreadsheet that we can quickly filter out what we need and save off copies showing the relevant information.

Please disregard, if I reverse my process (include all tags, then search on location) then there is no issue and results can be exported instantly.

I've got a case running on Team 1.7.0 x64 with a number of email PST archives which I extracted from an EDB archive using Systools Exchange Recovery. The image I'm working from was taken using FTK imager by another firm so I'm unsure what process they used when they were imaging the Exchange Server but I strongly suspect it was a live image of the system so the EDB would have been live rather than unmounted so resulting in a dirty copy. Some of the PST user emails exported out nice and quick, yet others took 2 or 3 days to export out, admittedly some are large (28gb PST archives) but on the whole the process was successful bar one user which can't be exported for some reason. I have imported all the PST's into Intella and indexed successfully and applied keywords and tagged the results. So that's the background, so far so good. Now I'm trying to take advantage of Intella's ability to export lists so I can show the client the Total keyword hit results, then give them the 'per mailbox or user' breakdown for each keyword. My approach has been to select the user mailbox in 'location' facet then click 'include'. Then go to the tags facet and select all tags and press search. Once they have loaded in I can highlight all the tags in the bottom left panel, right click, export values and I get a nice little CSV file with the total results for the keywords, then another column with the numbers for the current location I've selected to include. I can then repeat this process for each different location and have the makings to build a nice little spreadsheet neatly detailing all the results. Problem is Intella sort of locks up after I highlight all the keywords and press search. I've been able to successfully export out 2 of 7 lists but can't do anything with the reamining 5. I'm assuming it's trying to work through the keywords but it just seems to be taking a very long time to resolve. The first lot only had about 1500 to get through and that took about 10 seconds to display the coloured balls and then I could export the list. The next one had about 36,000 and only took about 20 seconds before I could export. The one I'm currently on has about 55k and I've been waiting for around 10 minutes now with no coloured balls and no response on screen. Task manager shows the process as active though. Is there known issues working with larger keyword results? I wouldn't have thought there would be any issue at these low numbers. I have also tried with 32bit Intella but makes no difference.

Ah nice one, I was indeed looking in the top menu rather than the facet area, I'll have to try that on the next job as I've already entered all the keywords for this one Thanks Chris.

Any feedback on the ability to import a keyword list for searching for Intella and Team Reviewers? From a usability perspective I would put this absolute top of my list for things that I think Intella needs

No email yet, can you PM me the details and also let me know which email address you used. It may be that I need to take this up with my IT manager if your emails are being blocked by our server.

Hey sorry to start a thread just need to access the downloads ASAP and wasn't sure who would be online first I haven't changed my password but its no longer working, also can't seem to get the automated email process to reset working either. With the caching of thumbnails I can see why paginating is desirable and gives you that faster response time, it's by no means a deal breaker but I am firmly in the school of spend time in the beginning to save time at the end, in fact I would love if pre chaching of thumbnails was something done by Intella normally as part of the indexing process. But I digress, if there was a tick box to disable/enable paginated view perhaps a small popup warning that displaying large amounts of files could cause the browser to be non responsive for a long time...? A small thing really and this might just be my personal preference from working with EnCase and Xways for so long that I prefer not to have to press a button to change pages, I just like to scroll and scroll and scroll On my browser when I click on the current page number to bring up the page list it is only showing page 1-10, so 10 pages each time. Perhaps a small field with "go to page ?" where we enter the desired page number? If we are looking at something with thousands of pages, which is highly likely given the paginated view shows only a very small number then it could still be a lengthy process to get from page 1 to page 4533 To be clear my desire for non paginated viewing has nothing to do with the loading of the thumbnail images. Intella (and Connect) are by far the fastest tool I've used when it comes to previewing images from thumbnail. It's purely about having to manually move the mouse up to the arrow and click each time I want to change pages. Just on image preview, a dynamic preview window would be fantastic if possible. By that I mean the ability to open a floating window that is independent of the normal layout which will display a preview of the highlighted file. Again just looking at pure usability for previewing large amounts of pictures/PDF/word documents/emails. Oh one more thing, multi select. Currrently holding cntrl then clicking on a second field does nothing, so for multiples we have to use the include option. Would be nice to just highlight multiple items and hit search as we do with Intella (or tickboxes next to each field). Edit - I might be going crazy but I can't find how to watch video files, I can open them and see all the properties etc but there doesn't appear to be a way to launch them via Media Player. I'm assuming that this will be a bandwidth issue but just wanted to confirm in case it's meant to be there.

Okay those sort of make sense to me now. Off the top of my head I can't see how I could apply that to the work I do, but I produce what my clients want, so if I show that to a client and the like it then I'll duplicate it. While I'm here could we have an option for the email address facet filter to have "no filter"? That way we can see all email addresses, also would be great to be able to sort by domain and export a list direct to csv/excel as a quick way to see all the email addresses...or is there another way I can do that now?

Phil preview is working for me (Beta2) but I did have issues with Beta1, have you upgraded? Some more feedback for the developers. Would be great to have the ability to enable/disable the paginated view. I know it would slow things down but I'm a lazy person and when I preview pictures I don't want to have to change pages. I want to switch to thumbnail mode, then if it's many thousands of pictures I can go away overnight or have lunch and then come back and hopefully all the thumbnails will be loaded into memory (if it works that way...). In any case, if there was a tickbox or something we could change that would be great. And just because I like to be contradictory, if we don't want to disable paginated view, it would be great to be able to navigate directly to a particular page. I'm thinking ahead as to how I might work with a client on this. If they happen to have their view in paginated, because they like that, and then they have responsive documents on page 233, then I don't want to have to click 233 times to get to the same page. Probably a bad example because they can just tag the responsive file, but lets say they are old school and they just right down the page number or something. Love the improvements so far guys can't wait for Beta 3 or better yet the roll out! Edit - what about a 'log off' button or will closing the browser achieve the same thing?

I must confess I didn't really give much thought to what a social graph might be, so I didn't look into Gephi's help files either. All I did was highlight a few emails from different users, then export a social graph and open it in Gephi. I wasn't expecting to have to configure the software (lazy of me I know), so when the fist view didn't show me anything I just left it alone. Any chance you could post a screen grab of what a good social graph might look like to give me some idea of what can be accomplished?

Hi Intella people, any feedback on the timeline feature at this point, plans on added functionality? I'm giving it a hammering for this job and having the ability to create reports like this would be absolutely perfect! Visual for non techs (board members love timelines) then being able to click and view emails would be great. Also what is this 'social graph' that I can export? I've tried it a couple of times then viewed it in Gelphi and the result was just a couple of dots joined by a line..

I'm looking at creating some timelines for a client and there appears to be a slight graphical glitch/issue. When I select the emails I want and switch to timeline view the email addresses in the far left field are being cut off. It looks like the box surrounding is set to a specific size. Can this be altered in anyway to allow the entire email address to be visible? I've added a few thoughts/requests to my other thread about things I'd love to see with the timeline too

Philrodo this sounds like exactly an issue that I'm having with my analysis machine. I'm going through trouble shooting at the moment with one of the Intella people, but apparently there are a small percentage of machines where the trial license just won't install as part of the install process. I can't run connect on my main analysis machine Win7 x64 partition, but if I reboot the same machine into XP it works just fine. I'm hopeful they come up with a fix soon as I need to run this on my Win7 partition as this is my main OS for that machine. Failing that will have to wait until I upgrade/replace my machine before I can use it properly.

Great news, I was only able to conduct limited testing on the first beta due to some issues with my machine so would be very keen to try Beta 2 please.

I'm having issues getting this to work as i'd like. I select a portion of emails which I'd like to export to a single PST archive and retain the folder structure (inbox, sent, deleted etc) so that someone can simply import the PST into Outlook and have a virtual copy of what existed on the other computer. What options do I need to select in the export to make this happen. I've been playing around for a while now and I can get the emails visible after the import but only at the sacrifice of the folder structure, I can't seem to get that part to work. Using 1.6.4 I should mention that I've checked the created PST's with Xways to confirm they contain data and can be recognised. Edit : okay, I think this might be a case of me wishing for something that can't be done. The emails have come from several different computers and therefor different email accounts so I don't think I can do this as simply as I'd like.

Thanks Alex, a little experimentation showed me that I have come across another issue which is a bit perplexing. My Tags don't seem to be able to be sorted alphabetically, rather they are staying the in order in which they were created. Is it possible to force the Tags to sort alphabetically? This is when I select the tags facet and then the full list of tags are displayed in the bottom left. Having a large tag set which is difficutl to work with out of order. Edit - please disregard, close case and reopen and they are now sorting correctly.

Howdy, been a while since I darkened this forum so I'm back. I'm working on a job at the moment where the team have prepared a large set of keywords for me. Unfortunately they didn't know the search rules for the + sign and have entered all these terms with an extra space that I now have to manually delete so I can use the sets. ie - keyword as given "john + david" which needs to have the spaces removed to look like "john+david" Would it be possible for Intella search to be changed so that it recognises the + and will work correctly regardless of the extra space? Also, not sure if this has been discussed before but the ability to import a keyword list with support for .txt, .doc and .xls(x) would be a fantastic addition. Failing that just the ability for a free form area where we can paste in our keywords in a bulk lot.

On the host Intella Connect dashboard it would be great to be able to see active/past connections, maybe another two fields with one showing the active connections and one showing connection history for the shared cases. Depending on needs and practicality even a live scrolling log of actions that are happening as with happens on TEAM now when you share a case internally. Also the ability to have Connect auto generate a complete activity log for any shared case (and option to disable).
