  1. Guys, another issue with the data set is the converted edb file appears to be missing data, so I've gone back to the original data and conducted a keyword search using encase. I've found the search hits within the priv1.stm file. Now I need to see if I can get this data converted somehow so that I can add it into intella, is this something the intella platform can do, or can anyone suggest another application that will do it? Thanks Again
  2. Thanks guys, I'll have to look into it and see if there is an easy way to parse the unallocated for mail.
  3. Thank you, yes I understand that, however I was wondering if anyone had a process which would scan through the unallocated clusters area of a hard drive and parse data that might be email.
  4. I have a case where the client has found no hits in relation to an email address they were interested in using the Intella Connect platform. I've done a search for the email address and found numerous hits within the unallocated clusters. Now I need to get this material out of the unallocated and get it hosted on the platform somehow. Any thoughts on how I can go about parsing the unallocated from these emails? They all seem to be html content, which isn't going to help. I've got the data loaded within EnCase. Any help is appreciated.
  5. Worked out the issue, the hdd had been sent to a third party to copy out the forensic images to, for some reason the file security settings were set, i.e. specific users had access to specific data etc. copied the data out to another drive and everything seems ok now.
  6. I've just processed a case within intella, case was shut down and left alone whilst I did the OCR process on some PDF files, I've come to open the case again and I keep getting the unknown exception error when opening the case. Any ideas how to fix this before I have to go and reprocess everything again?

thanks, not something I've really got time to do, I would ask that it is a feature that might be added, as this is something the lawyers will want to make use of. I'm currently advising that they log time manually.
  8. Thanks, I made a copy of the data without all the case information, created a new case with a new name and re-indexed it in the end.

I've had a call from a barrister working on one of the cases that's not completed, he's asked me if there is any way to determine how much time he spent working on the case. I've had a quick look and there doesn't seem to be any information that says XYZ time was spent on the case, could anyone guide me, or let me know if there's a way to find out? Thanks
  10. Hi Guys, I have a customer that wants to allow the 'other side' access to their data, but not to their tags etc. I've been told to make a copy of the intella exported data onto a new drive then copy over the intella index files and edit them, although the information I've been given is lacking in detail. Can anyone tell me what I need to do so that the 'other side' can see the data I'm copying over and start with a clean data set, this will all be hosted with our Intella Connect platform. Thanks
