  1. I have a case where the client wanted to sift the data before allowing access to the data to another client. They've sifted the data and have since tagged everything they do not want to share. I want to create a new case with all the material excluding the tagged material. I did export all the data initially but found that it exported the data differently, and we ended up with over twice the original data. How can I do this so the data looks the same as the original data?
  2. I was going to ask the same question, but not I note you had no reply.
  3. Thanks Jon, not really what is wanted. They want to know how many emails from each sender within the tagged items. I've exported the list of emails and then created a pivot table to count the email addresses - they were happy with that. Not sure it can be done within Intella.
  4. I hope this makes sense: The client wants to be able to review some tagged items mainly to quantify how many emails came from an email address, but they want to determine how many emails are from each mail address and there are alot. Thoughts?
  5. I have a case where numerous devices have been seized and the client wants to be able to review video footage, obviously this could cause bandwith to be used heavily on the server, but is there a way to do it in Intella connect, or would the client have to tag/export those items they want to view?
  6. I've now worked out the issue, and it was a simple one, Intella MUST be run as administrator - this then allows intella to open the browser to request authorisation.
  7. Thanks igor_r - I tested with thunderbird and it can work, but you have to install an addon which then allows you to export all folders to MBOX format. So a few options available that will work. I can use Axiom to get the google drive data, as this retains the folder structures.
  8. I've downloaded my mail account using google takeout and processed in Intella, I've noticed that there is no folder structure at all, so am looking for alternatives to downloading gmail emails, as the OAuth side of things with intella does not seem to be working for us at the moment. This is for testing purposes before I work on a clients google mail account. I'm thinking of using Thunderbird to download the mail account, but is there a way of processing thunderbird email and keeping the folder structures? I've not tested it as of yet, as I'm in the process of downloading the data.
  9. Thanks, I've given this a try but it's still throwing up the same error - unsure of why - I've disabled two factor authentication for the time being, and I'm an administrator of our Google accounts (workspace).
  10. doing some testing, I've used web application, desktop app - neither work - and I end up with exception errors within Intella... see screenshot.
  11. The choices have changed, normally we are told to select other, but here we do not have other.
  12. All, trying to get a Gmail collection but I'm struggling to get the json file, the instructions written by vound are drastically different to what I'm seeing within Google, with different screens, requests for app information app domains etc. Does anyone know how to do it now?
  13. Google have changed the way they manage this now, and I have no idea how to do a Gmail collection. I'll start a new thread, but for those looking for it, or that have done it can you advise?
  14. All, We've had a request from a client which asks if we can grant certain permissions to the users so that they could see certain categories of documents on their database – for example they would grant these users with permission to see documents from a certain custodian or with a particular tag but not others. They might also want to restrict permissions – for example they may want to set it so that that other users could see certain documents but not print them or tag them. is this even possible? If so how can we do it?
  15. thanks Jon, that's what I did in the end.
  16. I have a client who sent the data to me but realised the named it incorrectly after it was uploaded, I've renamed the files to reflect what they wanted, and pointed to it Intella, but the location still shows the old file name. It's the same in Connect. Does anyone have a fix? Thanks
  17. Thanks Jon, I'll take a look at these options as well - the less downtime the better. I need to decide on hardware now, possibly go with a gigabyte motherboard as I've had issues with Asus boards in the past.
  18. thanks for the reply, and apologies for the delay in responding. I'll possibly look at an AMD build for the next machine, as it needs to be a solid setup without constant shut downs and updates. If I go raid I'll possibly just do a RAID 0 so there's some redundancy should anything go wrong. Do we know if Intella can be installed on Windows Server now? or is it still Win 10? I've never for some reason been able to get Intella to run as service on the Windows 10 box, it's always been problematic - possibly something I've done wrong, but with a server OS i thought it may fair better.
  19. asked the same question, was told it was a fresh install of chrome and no ad blockers - I actually use ad blockers on my browsers and Intella works fine with chrome.
  20. I've had a customer call and say she can't see the circles in the results view after searching, and has tried two browsers - chrome and edge, but it's not working on her Windows laptop. Anyone experience similar, and any ideas on what she needs to do to fix the issue, no issues my end, all is working fine, and I know her colleagues have had no issues. I'm at a loss as to what to suggest, as I've asked her to clear cache, make sure no ad blockers are running etc.
  21. All I need some guidance for specifications on a new PC for our Intella connect server. Currently the box we run on is a windows 10 PC approximately 6 years ago, its getting a bit long in the tooth now and needs to be replaced. I want to have something which has some fail-over should the OS corrupt (had it previously) - so some sort of delayed RAID (unsure as of yet). Ram etc and motherboards I'm not too worried about I can spec that easily enough, although has anyone had any experience with using Ryzen based systems? specifically the newer generation. I love them as I have a 3700X at home with 64GB of data and its a beast of a gaming/work horse machine. the main crux is fail-over, if something goes wrong with the OS drive I have a backup meaning I can get backup in a matter of an hour or so.
  22. I've got a client wanting a load file creating, and need to provide the other side (court ordered) a list of items arranged by date today (they told me last night), and they are having issues formatting the table using the family date. It won't arrange by family date at all, and everything is being exported in american date format, which is no good to my client, they need the data to be British date/time format. I'm having the same issues with the family date and no matter what I do, even exporting the text columns into a text file them importing them into excel they just don't want to change. some dates are fine, i.e. they will format as dates, whereas others will not change at all, no matter what I do to them in excel. Does anyone have any guidance at all?
  23. by way of update I've had some emails back and forth with Vound and they've got me to this point using the following command which worked, for those trying to do similar its here: IntellaCMD.exe -c "D:\Test" -importText "D😕Test\Import_text" -u ADMINUSERACCOUNT Replace file paths with yours, and -u with your admin user account.
  24. Guys, I've tried to use this but am struggling to get it to work, I'm not sure if the command I'm using is correct... I've tried: Intella.exe -u username -case "d:\Test_Case\" -itext "d:Test_Case\Text_Import\" I've tried the same with the IntellaCmd.exe but that just throws errors. Where am I going wrong?
