  1. IE10, Firefox and Chrome not an option I'm affriad at won't be for away within our corporate environment. IE10, Firefox and Chrome are not available and unsupported, therefore, I can't requst IT to install IE10.
  2. Hi AdamS, Can't open the case directly with Intella Pro as the case is still being shared.
  3. Are the any plans to fix the redact functionality for IE 9?
  4. I'm using Connect 1.7.4 and there is already a "Can delete tags and tags from other reviewers" as an available permission, but it doesn't seem to do much. How do I make my mrouse user an administrator? If I login as admin it takes me to the server management console, not the review platform!!
  5. Hi, My username is neither admin or administrator. Let's say its mrouse. mrouse is listed under my Case Admin role for this case. The Case Admin role has all the privileges.
  6. Hi, Experiencing an unsual issue with Intella Connect. In Intella Pro, I've created a 'Privilege' tag and have selected relevant docs as privilege. Now when I share the case, and I log into Intella Connect as the case administrator, and select all my privilege tagged items from the Tags facet, I go into one of those documents in the previewer, and I have noticed that under the "Add or Remove Tag" button, for my selected document, I can't untick the Privilege tag checkbox - the mouse cursor changews to a red stop circle. Any thoughts on why this is the case? My role "Case Admin" has all avaiable permissions assigned under the authorisations section of the server.
  7. One way that I filtered my results is to select everthing in my case by using *. Then in the details pane, right click and select all then select "Show Top Level Parents", which gives me my emails, flag these parents. Then I right click and select "Show Children" direct children, which creates another bubble. I click on my second bubble and flag all those items. Then I go into Features - Flagged items and select this which then hopefully gives me my parent and children items but excludes embedded objects. Unless there is a better way of doing this?
  8. I was wondering if there was a way of excluding embedded objects (not attachments), but embedded objects within ppt, word doc etc. files so that they are not included in an export to a load file and tiff'ed. What I trying to do is export all files (emails and their attachments) as a load file, along with tiff'ing. But I'm struggling to try and excluded embedded objects within documents, files etc. so that they are not tiff'ed and bloat the load file. If I have the following example: email (a) ppt attachment (x) object 1 object 2 object 3 xls attachment (p) object 1 object 2 Word Doc (t) There must be a way of easily only select emails, and their attachments, or just loose parent files? So in the above example, I only want (a), (x), (p), and (t) to be shown in the details view. I don't want the objects of (x) or (p)
  9. Is there a way to apply tags to a case in a batch? Let's say I've got 40 tags, do I have to go through and manually enter the tags, or can I load the tags from a file? I'm thinking of when I have indexed data, and now getting the case ready for sharing.
  10. I can appreciate that this may not be easy to implement, but I would like to see a scripting engine being introduced into Intella so that tasks can be processed automatically. Maybe a command line interface or scripting environment like that of EnCase, but I think it would allow users to script a variety of functions. I can see benefit in being able to do a number of jobs without having to wait for the interface expecting an input or a mouse click, so that I can leave things overnight or the weekend, and have various jobs completed without input from me (unless of course there are errors). Example scriptable tasks: Index processing - I can script the indexing of a data source for case A then have a data source indexed for case B Keywords - have keywords automatically applied to a case and results saved as a saved search perhaps Exports - once indexing is done, maybe have specific data exported to a folder of my choosing. Key store - have passwords automatically added to the key store before indexing by pointing the scripting engine at my password file. I think that when you have possible repeatable tasks, maybe an eDiscovery engagement for a regulator (and you are designing a workflow), and let's say you have 20 custodians' data to process, I want to be able to not only speed up the processing (for example, I don't have to navigate to different folders or sources each time through the dialogue box), but apply other automatic tasks to the data sources I'm indexing so that I can create a streamlined workflow. So if I could script the processing of 20 custodians' worth of data, have applied keywords or date ranges to the data etc., if applicable for that engagement, and then relevant documents exported, perhaps as a load file, then I can simply build a script and run it without having to wait for the interface.
  11. This looks great. Yes can't wait to see future developments.
  12. Is there a way of being able to determine what keywords matched my search hits? Let's say I have 500 keywords and my search has returned 1000 documents. How can I find out what keywords each document matched on?
  13. Have got Intella Connect setup and using on a live investigation. One feature request for a future release I like to see in Intella Connect is a better workflow manager that allows me to assign documents to particular reviewers. I don't want to have to create multiple reviewer tags and then tag specific documents for specific reviewers. Would be good if say I can automatically assign batches of 5000 or 10000 documents to reviewers.
  14. I'm trying to get the Export to Intella 0.5.EnPack to work but it doesn't. It comes up with an "Entryroot is not a member of caseclass" error. Anyone else has this error? Is there a way to fix it? Are there any plans to update the script for EnCase v7?
  15. I'm using version 1.7.3. Looking in my case, there are no File Created or File Last Modified dates. I received nsf files, and brought these into Intella, then created my load files with natives. However, I would have thought that even with attachments, such as pdf word etc. there will still be metadata store within the pdfs and word docs, right?
  16. EDB processing - nice! Is this in the next release? So will Intella process an edb file? Would Intella also need the stm file as well? I assume this will only work with offline edb files?
  17. Case file is local on C, source is on a USB drive, load file output is on C drive.
  18. Are there any instructions on how to do this? Or do I simply just click on the Intella icon again?
  19. I'm currently running an load file export on a case that has 35k items. It's going to take 23 hours to finish, inlcuding tiff, native, and text extracts. Is there a recommended memory setting I can use to help speed things up or to get the most of my PC to ensure that Intella is using all avaiable resources it's allowed to use. I have a 64-bit Win 7 system with an i7 processor, and 16GBs of RAM. Don't know if I should be changing the -Dintella.serviceMaxHeap setting to something other that the default. Any thoughs would be greatly appreciated.
  20. Hi AdamS, I have the same issue. I'm currently running a load file production, which Intella tells me it estimates to complete within 23 hours, I then have another production waiting which has to wait until this has finished. Maybe some kind of indexing queue mechanism would be useful here, whereby 3-4 child processes could be spawned per case to allow for simultaneous indexing. So instead of locking the case, it allows you to open another case and start the indexing of that case, and the Index Queue, let's say, has a monitior that shows you the processing status of both indexing jobs.
  21. Thanks AdamS. Your suggestion is a useful work around for the investigator, but a regulator may want a specific custodian name field in the production metatdata file so they can identifiy specific custodian data sets within their own platform. Every other eDiscovery tool I have worked with allows me to enter a custodian name, so this would be a very useful feature for Intella.
  22. Are there any firm plans to include this in a futue release? This is a feature I would like to see in Intella.
  23. When I create a load file production for a regulator, I have noticed that the native files have created and modified dates of the dates and times they hit the file system. I know that intella maintains the actual content created and modified within the load file itself. I'm just wondering if it is possible to keep or preseve the original date and time stamps on the natives, so that I can been seen to adhere to evidence best practices in ensuring that the data hasn't changed, even the metatdata when I hand over the production?
  24. Actually I think a separate Custodian field is better, as a regulator that I'm working with at the moment does want a custodian field within the load file export.dat file.
  25. As a suggestion, I wondering if something like an Export Template Manager maybe worth including in later versions of Intella as a way of managing a library of templates. At the moment, I am tweaking a template that I am creating for a Concordance LoadFile Export for a particular regulatory. This involves highlighting the necessary items, exporting as a load file and selecting my options. But if I notice from the output that this or that needs to be tweaked further, I have to stop the export, make changes and re-run. As a result, I end up with multiple versions of the same named export template, each with slighty different settings. I'm thinking that if there was an Export Template Manager, then I could simply go into my template, make the necessary tweaks, perhaps add or modify a field for example, and save my template. I can see features such as the following being useful: Add new template. Duplicate or copy template - if I have a template for a particular regulator, and need to produce a template for another regulator, that seems to want a similar format, then I cnould copy an existing template, and then just modify per my requirements. Export template - maybe I have several PCs with intella on and need the same export template running on each. It could be that I have several cases running for different productions to the same regulatory all needing to have the same export requierments. Delete template Import Template I think something like this would help those that use Intella on multple investgations for multiple clients, having to produce to multiple investigating agencies, typically at the same time, using multiple PCs to process and export data.
