  1. The client asked for me to conduct some searches  on their behalf, as they do not feel like they understand Connect enough to do it, the request was for two words which were:

    restructure

    restructuring

I conducted a search for restructur* and got around 26089 results.

I then conducted a search for restructure and got 1831 results

I then conducted a search for restructuring and got 24196 results.

difference of around 62 items in this search?

I conducted a search for the term restructured and got 889 results.

Why am I seeing different results - the customer is obviously concerned that items might be missed with the keyword searches etc that are being conducted?  They have asked if there is a way for  them to speak to you guys directly for support, instead of coming through myself?  Obviously I would like to know the answers as well.

  2. Hi guys,

I've got a new search the client has asked me to do - they've asked I run a search for an email between x dates, then then 5 keywords.  Which I've done.  These have resulted in multiple hits, now they want to see which emails have ALL of these keywords in them, i'm struggling with their being too many clusters again, i.e. I can't work out which email's are of interest.

Can anyone guide me, and show me a better way to do it, as I just can't work out how see the material of Interest.

  3. I've currently got users asking me to conduct searches for them on connect, which I'm happy to do, but they want multiple emails within a specific date range.

The have asked that I conduct searches for X and Y through this date range and dedupe

Then X and Z through same date range and dedupe

They want the searches run together so that there is NO duplication between the two searches so they don't have to review the same material within the two searches.

These are individual searches for X and Y and X and Z - how can I do it, if I can?
These will be split into batches once complete.

If I do a search for the three names, I'm finding that the cluster map gets messy i.e. too many clusters on screen making it almost impossible to determine which data relates to what, is there a better way to identify the material I want.

I.e. searches conducted are NAME 1 (email addresses only) Name 2 (email addresses only) Name 3 (email addresses only).  Then date range required.

This gives me a total of 15 clusters on screen at once, and no easy way to determine which material I'm interested in due to the way they are displayed on screen, i.e. too many too close.  See image for reference I've blurred out the searches.

  4. I've had a client ask that I provide a user account and give access to a a user, but only to three 'folders' (pst files to you and me).  I've explained that we would have to tag everything apart from those files, with cannot see items tagged with ***, is there another function which saves having tag everything and only tag the folders or files within those PST files for the user, so something like 'can only see tagged items'.

  5. I've got customers working on a case at the moment, the 'show conversation' function is supposed to show the email chain, when they click on the show conversation button it jumps back to the search screen without anything highlighted.

Any thoughts on what is going on here.

I've given myself access to the data, and the same happens when I try to view a conversation within their case file.

I've tried it with the Enron Training data that we have, and the same thing happens

    Thanks

  6. I think they want to just share the workload, i.e. conduct a search, and if it has 30,000 hits, share 10,000 with X, 10,000 with Y and 10,000 with Z.  I'm assuming this can't be done apart from manually selecting X number of results and then sharing in the messaging app.

Thanks for the heads up Jon, the 'main ui' search function is active on the accounts.
