  1. Hello Brad,

Do you want to use tags to mark email with specific senders and recipients? You could use the identites feature to create them based on the email address and then use the identities facet to create searches in the "to" field and another one in the "from" field. The common items would be the ones that fit the criteria. Then you would be able to tag them by bulk. Hope this answers your question. If not, please do elaborate on what you wish to achieve.

  2. Hello,

We do have a number of articles related to load files which we think might help you. Please check our forum thread:

We do also have a separate category for ingesting and creating load files along with many tips on how to work with them:

    https://community.vound-software.com/forum/39-load-files/

There also are videos on our youtube:

    and

While they have been shown on a older version of Intella, they are still relevant.

You can also review the User Manual which contains a whole section on load files - 31. Load file checklist in the attached document.

  3. Hello all!

We have recently released our newest product called Intella Investigator. It will also be replacing one of our previous products - Intella Team.

While you can still use Intella Team version 2.5.x and older, we do advise to upgrade as soon as possible as Intella Investigator does contain many upgrades compared to Intella Team.

We do understand that for someone accustomed to how Intella Team worked and looked, it can take some time to get used to the new Interface and workflow of Intella Investigator.

That is why we have prepared a guide on how to upgrade and install Intella Investigator. The article is available on our Knowledge Base:

    https://support.vound-software.com/help/en-us/8-installation/100-how-to-upgrade-intella-team-to-intella-investigator

More detailed information on how to install Intella Investigator as a service can be found here:

    https://support.vound-software.com/help/en-us/8-installation/98-installing-intella-investigator-as-a-service

Information on how to create a service account:

If you do have any questions about the upgrade, please feel free to raise a ticket through our support portal:

    Hi All,

I would like to suggest an option to export documents with redacted items as semi transparent such as this:

    image.png.6b9c4650ed320556902dad2df055b8b2.png

This would enable to consult with other people or other organizations.

    Thanks,

    Hello Simon,

We thank you for this suggestion. We believe that this would be good upgrade to Intella's features. We do have an internal ticket for this and our dev team will be working on the possibilities to add this for future releases.

  5. Problem:
I am unable to connect to the Yahoo IMAP server to index the contents of a Yahoo mailbox.

    Explenation:
Yahoo has recently implemented the App Password which is required to connect a third-party application to the Yahoo mailbox.
Unfortunately, as per Yahoo's official Reddit group and their Support portal, this feature is no longer working.
The only way to connect to a Yahoo mailbox is through the official Yahoo Mail App and the web browser.

Due to this, Intella is no longer able to connect to a Yahoo mailbox to index it's contents.

    Workaround:
Yahoo Mail App and website allow to create a PST file and export the mailbox contents into it. You can then ingest the PST file using Intella.
Please refer to Yahoo Knowledge Base for information on how to create a PST file through the browser app and the Yahoo Mail App.

  6. Hello Alongden,

The output of the Print Report button has been simplified to only show the Item's native rendering, the most critical item metadata and (optionally) the native rendering of its attachments. We may consider this option's output to be configurable in the future.

For forensically oriented prints you should use the Export function.

  7. Hello David,

Every case that you have created has their own set of table presets which you can create as much as you like. You can utilize these presets if you create a case template which newly created cases can be indexed upon.

To create a new case template, select a case in the Case Manager and click the “Export as
template…” button. This opens a dialog box where you can specify the path and name of the Intella
Case Template (ICT) file and select the template components to include.

For more information on Case Templates and Table Presets, please check the User Manual sections 8.7 Case Templates and 19.1.4. Table presets.

  8. Hello PF1.

    1. You can view statistics now by pressing the RMB -> Show -> Statistics
    Example in the attached screenshot.

2.We believe that the Export Sets functionality might suit your needs. Please review the user manual for Intella, section 13.2.4 or see the following link for the Intella Connect Reviewer manual:
