Auto Tagging using Keyword List.

I was playing with AutoTagging option and it seems that Auto tagging ignores all search options selected and just searches in all the fields.

Would it not be good to be able to specify the fields just as one is able to do while searching using a keyword list? Is this something that is an unusual requirement?

 

As a workaround, I tried to modify my query in keyword list to something like

("'a b' 'c d'"~5) NOT (path:"'a b' 'c d'"~5)
(e AND f) NOT path:(e AND f)

But it did not work as expected. When I used the NOT operator while auto-tagging, it even removed the files that had the keyword in name of the document. Whereas, when I used the search facet using the same keyword list, it retained the files that had the keyword in the file name.
