  1. I am trying to rule out an email domain from the searching of custodian name. Trying to see if another domain format is for this custodian since this data set has so many. I just want to exclude any emails that have this one. So I do not want John_Smith@domain2.com showing up or Smith, John <jsmith@domian2.com>. Should this be the correct format? '"Smith John"~2 AND NOT "domain2.com"'~2
  2. There is an auto-tagging button on Keyword Lists on the facet Search. I have used it in many ways, but mostly to tag an item of the term that was a hit so I can export a CSV. Then the client can see what terms hit on what item with some metadata with a tag column. Also helps in searching CSVs that are large in size to know what was a hit in a report so I can isolate those that were a hit to view manualy. Case involves using just a list of email address the client is looking for. Then having to build basically their mailbox from data that is just a bunch of journal PSTs/EDBs and some other random custodian PSTs that are not the requested custodians. I did look at the identities tab but did not think of using that to create each custodian. When I hit Calculate, it gives my alot of email addresses that are not in the right format or just unhelpful with this data. It does look like I could have used the the identity details to get the task done but I just created a task for each custodian to search and tag.
  3. I want to tag messages that contain names in the to/from fields. It appears auto tagging searches every part of the message and not what I have selected in the options. Is this the correct way it should function? Is the only option is to setup a task to sesarch those fields then tag?
  4. Is there an easy way to remove email containers from a set of data that has been loaded in. I have NSFs that should not be part of a project that I would like to remove. Some data has been delievered already and there is more to come.
  5. Is there anyway to add the custodians via a csv?
  6. During import we selected Configure custodians for each database. All custodians loaded in well for each of the 5 cases. After loading all 5 cases to a compound case none of the custodians are there. We are doing a custodian level dedupe for 500 custodians. Is this not possible with compound cases?
  7. I am looking for top-level parents that are missing a sent date. I need to tag them so that I do not export anything of that nature. Importing NSF files and exporting to EML. The end client cannot handle EMLs with missing sent dates. I know I can do this somewhat manualy but I have do this over and over for 500 custodains in different databases. Is there an option in the Date column to let me do a search for those items so I can tag them and/or possibly create a task to do this when I load in the NSF?
  8. Is there a syntax for adding a date range to terms in a text file for the keyword list? We have been given terms but different date ranges for some of the terms but would like to give them 1 clean hit report. One group of terms are range 1/1/18 to present while another group of terms is 1/1/18 to 1/1/19. This will be for 2 different sets of data so are providing 2 separate reports but using saved search method we would be providing 4 total reports. Is the only option is through the saved searches?
  9. I just noticed this was an option. More of what I was thinking
  10. Thanks. Never thought it would do a group. Was thinking it was for one item selection only.
  11. In the search tab can we require only the top level parent show up? I am trying to determine how many eml/calendar items we are going to export out from NSF files after dedupe without having to add the top-level parent column then sort then scrolling through thousands of items to select them.
  12. It works but the paragraphs are somewhat different by a few words but a lot have that same phrase. I removed the email in the paragraph. They are both from postmates but for maybe 3 or 4 messages each but we have over 33k of them. Also, were is the list stored of the paragraphs that you exclude? Fees may vary and apply. 13. Reserv* NOT "All rights Reserve" was 1 idea. I do not think it is possible to do a proximity search (I read about the future update to phrases with proximity) but to exclude maybe. Like the picture below should get most of the documents with a phrase but does it exclude the whole item if another term is a hit? We know there are exclusive hits on just that phrase but the case involves reserving room/seats not about some random email that has a disclosure at the bottom about "All rights Reserved" with other variations of that phrase. United States is another phrase I do not think they want a hit on.
  14. We are doing searches for a client that have terms like Reserv* and United. We are getting a lot of noise hits from phrases that we would just like to remove from the index. Example "All Rights Reserved" or "Postmate reserves the right .." that do not pertain to the case. Trying to use NOT would exclude the item entirely even if it is a hit with reserve somewhere else in the email.
